If you select more than one field the program assumes that you want that the
term you retrieve have all the terms you entered at the same time.
You can search for the following fields:
Author, enter; Last Name, Fist Name
Prologuist, illustrator, etc. , enter Last Name, First Name
Corporate author, Congress etc.
Title, enter one or more title words, the word order is irrelevant
Collection title, enter one or more title words, the words order is irrelevant
Subject, it is desirable searching the most specific term. You can search by more generals term if you wish to make the search broader. You can enter geographical names or personal names as subject, for instance : Uruguay-historia, Montevideo-barrios, Varela, José Pedro, or names of specific disciplines, Veterinaria-congresos, conferencias, etc. Literature is entered by literary gender; cuentos (tales), novela (novels), poesía (poetry), teatro (theater), literatura infantil (child literature) and the subdivision -historia y crítica (history and critic) under each specific literature.
b>Publication year, you can restrict the search to some year, v.eg. 2006
ISBN e ISSN you can enter all the number figures or some of them.
2- Boolean operator AR OR useful for better search definition.
AND is the intersection of two terms.
Using this operator you find only those records
that present at the same the the words requested. The result are more precise.
The program uses AND by default in order to connect search expressions.
O (OR) is the logical sum of the terms.
Allows retrieving records that fulfill one or the order condition.
This option is useful for broadening the search, using synonyms of
variants of a given word.

4- It's irrelevant the use of capitals or small case letters
, accents, dieresis, or any other
kind of diacritic signs.
You can search by the term stem, for instance MED by which you retrieve:
medicamentos, medicina, médicos.
